Seoul Circus Festival 2025
Open Call for International Programs
The Seoul Circus Festival is now accepting submissions for international programs to be featured in the 2025 festival!
First launched in 2018 under the name Circus Cabaret, the Seoul Circus Festival was the first of its kind in South Korea. Over the years, it has grown into the largest circus festival in the country, held every spring for 2–3 days in one of Seoul’s major outdoor spaces.
For 2025, we are excited to open an international open call for the first time, aiming to introduce diverse circus works from around the globe to audiences in South Korea. We look forward to receiving submissions of circus performances that align with the festival's vision. All interested companies and artists are welcome to apply.

Seoul Circus Festival 2025
● Date : 3rd–5th, MAY, 2025
● Venue : Nodeul Island, Seoul, Korea (Google Map)
How to apply
● Email to seoulcircusfestival@gmail.com along with all required documents.
Performance Requirements
● Outdoor performances, including circus arts, with a maximum duration of 40 minutes
Eligibility
● Individual artists or groups working in circus arts and based outside of Korea

Submission period
● Applications Deadline 24:00(KST), 5th January, 2025

Festival will provide
● A total Performance fee 5,000,000 KRW Maximum (Net of Tax)
● Accommodation and Per diem (Per diem will be 30,000 KRW per person a day)
● Pick-up service from the airport
● Technical support (common sound and lighting system at the site)
● PR(Website, Social Media, Festival program book, Press promotion)
* Airfare and cargo transportation costs shall NOT be provided.
* Performance fee may be adjusted during the selection process.
Selection criteria
1. Artistic Excellence (30%)
─ Artistic value and originality of the work
─ Quality, structure, and technical completeness of the performance
2. Relevance to the Festival (40%)
─ Alignment with the festival's vision
3. Contribution to Cultural Engagement (30%)
─ Contribution to providing cultural experiences for the public
Selection scale
● Approximately 4 shows will be selected
Selection result
● Result will be announced on the festival website (Scheduled for 17th January, 2025)
